Legal Entity Notice
The legal business name is FlatMusic Inc. In Korean, it is 플랫뮤직 주식회사. Both refer to the same legal entity.
Article 1 (Personal Information Collected)
- Email address
- Account identifiers and authentication credentials
- Performance audio recordings captured via microphone, which may include the User's voice, instrument sounds, and incidental background sounds
- Uploaded audio files and score related files
- Practice records and automated analysis results
- Device information, browser information, and log data
Article 2 (Purpose of Processing)
- Account creation and authentication
- Recording, uploading, storing, and playing back performance audio
- Analyzing musical elements such as pitch, rhythm, and dynamics, and generating or displaying score and practice results
- Enabling feedback and annotation features, including allowing teachers, reviewers, or other Users selected by the User to access recordings and related Content shared by the User
- Service operation, security, and troubleshooting
The Company uses performance audio only for the purposes described above and within the sharing scope selected by the User. The Company will obtain separate consent before using it for advertising, voice identification, or any unrelated purpose.
Article 3 (Retention and Storage)
Personal information is stored within the User account while the account is active.
Performance audio recordings, uploaded audio files, and related analysis or feedback records are retained while the User's account is active to provide playback, practice history, analysis, and feedback features. They are retained until the account is deleted or the User requests deletion, unless a shorter period is selected by the User or retention is required by applicable law.
When a User deletes their account or requests deletion, personal information will be deleted without delay unless retention is required under applicable laws.
If retention is required under applicable laws, the information will be stored only for the legally required retention period and then securely deleted.
Article 4 (Third Party Provision of Personal Information)
The Company does not sell or rent personal information.
The Company does not provide personal information to third parties except where the User has separately consented, provision is required by applicable law, or disclosure is required by a lawful request from a competent authority.
Where personal information is provided based on User consent or legal requirement, the Company will provide any notice required by applicable law.
Content shared by the User through Service features is shared only within the scope selected by the User.
Article 5 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)
The Company may entrust certain personal information processing activities to service providers to the extent necessary for service operation.
Such activities may include hosting, cloud infrastructure, data storage, system operation, security, monitoring, logging, incident response, technical maintenance, and operational support.
Service providers must process personal information only within the necessary scope and implement appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
The Company manages and supervises entrusted service providers in accordance with applicable law.
Article 6 (Human Access to Content)
When Users choose to share Content for feedback, human reviewers may access the Content solely for providing feedback or annotations.
Such access is limited to the minimum necessary scope and is subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
Article 7 (User Rights and Request Procedures)
Users may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal information in accordance with applicable law.
Account deletion requests may be submitted through the Account Deletion page.
Users may also request deletion directly through the Arpe app: Settings, Account Management, Delete Account.

Deletion requests are processed within 7 to 14 business days. A confirmation email will be sent once the account and associated data have been permanently deleted.
Minimal payment and transaction records may be retained for legal and accounting requirements, and anonymized usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.
The Company may verify the identity or authority of the requester and may limit a request where retention is legally required or additional verification is reasonably required.
Article 8 (Security Measures)
The Company implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, theft, leakage, alteration, damage, or misuse.
Measures may include internal privacy procedures, access controls, administrator authentication, security logs, encryption in transit where appropriate, protective systems, and restrictions on personnel access.
Security incidents will be reviewed, contained, remediated, and handled in accordance with applicable law.
Personnel and service providers who handle personal information are subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
Article 9 (Children Under 14)
A child under the age of 14 may use the Service only with the consent of their parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
The Company will obtain and reasonably verify parental or guardian consent where required, using only the minimum information necessary.
A parent or legal guardian may exercise rights regarding the child's personal information in accordance with applicable law.
Article 10 (Cross-border Processing)
Personal information may be processed on servers outside the Republic of Korea where necessary for service operation.
Where required by applicable law, the Company will provide required notice or safeguards.
